MBBR Technology
MBBR is an acronym of Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor. It is considered environment and cost friendly technology to treat sewage water. An MBBR plant is a single pass system which requires no sludge recycling and less space to set up as compared to conventional wastewater treatment plant. One of the best features of MBBR plant is up gradation and capacity expansion can be done without increasing footprint. BOD Reduction, Nitrification and Total Nitrogen Removal are some of applications where MBBR technology is proved as perfect solution. With-in a compact design, stringent sewage discharge requirements can be met with it.
In this technology, thousands of plastic carriers (made of HDPE) are put in aerated wastewater treatment basin. Due to their especially designed surface, these carriers are responsible for bacteria collection and biodegrading action. These carriers are kept in the reactor by a screen; treated water is flushed out for further treatment.

SBR Technology
SBR is an acronym of Sequential Batch Reactor and upgraded version of conventional activated sludge system. As the name states itself, in this type of sewage water treatment technology, treatment is done in batches. A typical SBR Treatment Plant consists of several tanks linked in sequence and follows time-oriented batch process. In such system, processes such as equalization, aeration and sedimentation are done in timely manner, for this overall system is fitted with level sensors and timing device or microprocessor based system.
